Blue Island PD Seeking Suspects In Labor Day Weekend Fatal Shooting
Jaramaine Wilcox, Jr., of Chicago, was found near Memorial Park with a single gunshot wound to the neck and died a short time later.
BLUE ISLAND, IL — Blue Island Police are still searching for suspects in the shooting death of a Chicago man who police said was shot in the neck last weekend.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the 32-year-old victim as Jaramaine Wilcox, Jr., who lived in the 6500 block of South Campbell Avenue, police said.
Wilcox was found with a gunshot wound to the neck after police found him in the area of Memorial Park at 12804 Highland just after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Life-saving measures were initiated by first responders and Wilcox was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, where Wilcox died shortly after.

The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the homicide and anyone with information is asked to contact the Blue Island Police Department's Investigative Unit at (708) 396-7006.
