Back to school? Let’s get moving! For children with physical disabilities like cerebral palsy, movement is huge. Not only do children with disabilities learn best in an included classroom, they also learn daily life skills easier when with their peers with disabilities!
Center for Independence through Conductive Education in Countryside, IL begins its yearlong intensive motor training therapy program this September. Children with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy work on skills such as walking, sitting, eating, dressing and toileting as independently as possible. The Center for Independence provides therapy in a transdisciplinary classroom – physical therapists, occupational therapists and conductive education teachers all provide therapy to a group of children with physical disabilities at the same time!
