Crestwood First Responders Set For National Night Out Against Crime At Walker Park

CRESTWOOD, IL — Leave the porch light on and bring your family to National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 5. The free, take-a-bite-out of crime event from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Walker Park, 14065 Waterbury Dr.

“Today, more than ever, it is important for our community and police department to have an open relationship,” said Chief Sisk, of the Crestwood Police Departments. “We want the residents of Crestwood to know the police officers that protect and serve the community.”

The Crestwood Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works, other local businesses, and the citizens in this area will all come together to enjoy a fun filled family night.

Just as in past years, this event is completely free. There will be a variety of displays, information booths, music and various games for all who attend. Hot Dogs and Burgers as well as many other refreshments will be served.

Since the first National Night Out in 1984, more than 48 million neighbors in 16,000 communities throughout the nation will hold some type of event promoting community building and public safety.
