Second Suspect Was Riding With Alsip Man At Time Of Fatal I-94 Shooting: Police
A second person is charged in the fatal June 2024 expressway shooting, Illinois State Police said.

ALSIP, IL — A Gary, Ind. man has been arrested in connection with a fatal 2024 expressway shooting. Illinois State Police said. Herman Yancey, 37, has been charged with first degree murder.
During the evening of June 7, 2024, ISP officers responded to a crashed vehicle with a deceased gunshot victim in the northbound local lanes of I-94 near 37th Street in Chicago. The victim, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner as 26-year-old Tywaun Donald, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Another man, Darius Norwood, 32, of Alsip, alleged to be with Donald at the time of the shooting, was charged in March with first degree murder following an “exhaustive investigation”

Yancey was riding in a Jeep Cherokee around 8:45 p.m. on June 7, 2024, with Norwood and another person, when they started following Donald, who was driving a Jeep Compass along 54th Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, Chicago police said in a report.
Yancey was identified as a suspect after a “thorough investigation,” Illinois State Police said.
