Moraine Valley Host Open Houses At Blue Island, Tinley Centers

BLUE ISLAND, IL — Moraine Valley Community College will host open houses at its two neighborhood locations, the Education Center at Blue Island and the Southwest Education Center in Tinley Park, in late May and early June.

The open houses will showcase the centers’ educational offerings, including a wide variety of general education courses and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. This fall, the Blue Island location will offer medical office assistant courses for the first time.

Open house attendees also will learn about the support services available, including financial aid and academic planning assistance, and can tour the facility. Staff will explain how people can get started taking classes near their homes or workplaces at the convenient centers. Giveaways also will be provided.

The Education Center at Blue Island is located at 12940 S. Western Ave. Its open houses will be held:
Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, June 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, June 2, from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

The Southwest Education Center is located at 17900 S. 94th Ave., Tinley Park. Its open houses will be held:
Monday, June 5, Tuesday, June 6, and Wednesday, June 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, June 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, June 9, from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
