19 Cars, Garage Doors Spray-Painted In Alsip 'Mass Graffiti Incident'

Most of the garages or cars had "BLM" or "Crack" spray painted on them, primarily west of Cicero Avenue in Alsip, police said.

ALSIP, IL — Police are asking Alsip residents to check their home security cameras related to a “mass graffiti incident” early Sunday morning in Alsip and Oak Lawn.

Several acts of graffiti were found on garage doors and vehicles, primarily west of Cicero Avenue in Alsip.

“We ask residents to review their video footage to check for any cars or suspects that may provide valuable information for this case,” Alsip police said in a news release.

Similar to Oak Lawn, where over 70 cars were also vandalized overnight Sunday, vehicles and garage doors in Alsip had “BLM” and “Crack” spray painted on them.

Earlier Monday, Oak Lawn police released surveillance images of a white male, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, gray sweatpants, brown boots and a black backpack.

Alsip police confirmed that it is the same person wanted for questioning in their graffiti incidents.
