Worth Township Seeks New Toy Donations For Kids Up To Age 14 For Christmas Care Program
Worth Township is collecting new, unwrapped toys for local children ages 0-14. Financially-strapped parents can apply for help.

ALSIP, IL — So that no child should go without a gift this holiday season, Worth Township Youth Commission is now accepting donations of new unwrapped toys, new clothing and donations of money or gift cards that will be used to buy children's items in bulk for the township's Christmas Care Program.
The township has already received a record number of families asking for help with the holidays this year. The push is on for new toy donations, that will be distributed to kids living within the township boundaries including the towns of Worth, Alsip, Blue Island, Bridgeview, Chicago Ridge, Crestwood, Evergreen Park, Hometown, Merrionette Park, Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Robbins.
The program provides families who are struggling financially with extra help filling stockings for their children from infancy up to age 14. Toys and other gifts can be dropped off during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, at Worth Town Center, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, Alsip.

Items don't have to be expensive. Suggested gifts include books, board games, puzzles, Barbies, superhero action figures, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, craft kits and dolls.
The youth commission is especially in need of gifts for the 10 to 14 age range. For older kids, consider watches, jewelry, purses, wallets, art supplies, PG rated DVD movies, personal hygiene items, perfume, aftershave, pajamas, socks and winter gear. (Five Below is a good store to find gifts for older kids).
