Man Injured In Machete Attack, Crestwood Cops Search For 'Person Of Interest'
Crestwood police said the machete attack was "domestic related" and there is no threat to community safety.
CRESTWOOD, IL — A man was injured in a machete attack Monday evening in what Crestwood police are describing as a “domestic related” incident.
Just before 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an aggravated battery in the 5700 West 129th Street. When police arrived, they found a man with lacerations all over his body. The injuries were caused by a machete and the attacker was not on the scene, police said.
The man was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for medical treatment.

Police said they have developed a person of interest, but do not have anyone in custody as the investigation continues. This is a domestic-related incident and there is no threat to the community.
