Suspect Extradited, Charged In Crestwood Trucking Co. Owner's Death

A man who fled to Michigan after fatally stabbing the owner of ATG Truckload in Crestwood has been extradited and charged, police said.

CRESTWOOD, IL — An employee accused of fatally stabbing his boss at a Crestwood trucking company on March 5, has been charged and has been extradited from Michigan back to Illinois. Josif Suclea is facing a felony first-degree murder charge.

Crestwood police and firefighters responded to a fire at ATG Truckload, 13835 S. Kostner Ave. The owner of the company, Dane Koletski, 48, was found dead on the second floor. It was later determined that Koletski had been stabbed to death.

Suclea who worked for Koletski, was quickly identified as the suspect, who police said had fled to Michigan, where Suclea was apprehended hours later at a truck stop in Holland, Mich. He was extradited from Ottawa County, Mich., back to Chicago on Friday.

Suclea will appear for a pretrial hearing Sunday afternoon at the Leighton Criminal Court Building.
