Worth Township 'Christmas Care' Here To Help Struggling Families Fill Empty Stockings

ALSIP, IL — Worth Township is now accepting donations of new toys, new clothing and donations of money or gift cards that will be used to buy children’s items in bulk for the township’s Christmas Care Program. The program provides families who are struggling financially with a little extra help filling stockings for their children up to age 14.

Families who live in Worth Township and are experiencing financial hardship during the upcoming holidays, can come to Worth Township for assistance with getting Christmas presents for their children. Applications are being accepted through Dec. 4. After this date, applications will no longer be accepted.

Applications are available online at Worth Township Christmas Cares. Drop off the completed applications from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Worth Township Center, 11601 S. Pulaski Road, Alsip.

Families must bring a valid driver’s license or state ID with their current address, a birth certificate for each child receiving toys, and a copy of their current utility bill with the same address as their ID. All documents will be returned.
