Drive-Thru, Pre-Filled Backpack Giveaway For Grades K-12 Planned At Worth Township
A free, drive-thru backpack giveaway with supplies for grades K-12, Monday, Aug. 4, at Worth Township in Alsip. Proof of residency required
ALSIP, IL — Hundreds of free pre-filled backpacks with supplies for grades K-12 will be handed out Monday, Aug. 4, at Worth Township Center, 116th Street and Pulaski Road. Backpacks will be distributed to Worth Township residents from 4 to 6 p.m.
The drive-thru backpack giveaway is sponsored by Worth Twp. Supervisor Patricia Joan Murphy, the board of trustees and the Worth Township Foundation.
“We are honored to help support the young students in our community through this initiative,” Murphy said. “We know many families are struggling to make ends meet, and we hope this event will provide the opportunity four kids to start the school year prepared and ready to learn.”

Families must be residents of Worth Township and provide proof of residency, including driver's license or state ID, one utility bill, and birth certificate for each child receiving supplies. For more information, call 708-972-7840.
