2-For-1 Sticker Deal For Arlington Heights Leaf Pickup

The special fall program begins Monday and runs through Dec. 15.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — From the Village of Arlington Heights: Starting Monday, Oct. 30, as part of the village’s Landscape Waste program residents only need to put one sticker for every two bags of leaves set out for trash collection through Dec. 15. Stores around the village sell the $2.65 landscape waste sticker, and they also can be purchased at Village Hall and the Arlington Heights Senior Center.

For residents who subscribed to the Landscape Waste Subscription Program, 10 unstickered bags/bundles can be placed at the curbside for collection per week from until Dec. 15. Food scraps are not permitted with the base subscription program.

For leaves that naturally fall onto the streets, the Public Works Department’s Street Sweeping Program is designed to remove them. The purpose of the program is to keep drainage inlets clear for storm events and reduce the amount of organic material in the sewer systems. The program, however, is not considered a leaf-collection program.
