3 Men Charged In Severe Beating Of Man At Arlington Heights Condo: PD

Two Arlington Heights men and a Mount Prospect man face charges after police said they beat a man with a baseball bat, their fists and feet.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Two men from Arlington Heights and a third from Mount Prospect have been charged in connection with the severe beating of a man in the parking lot of a local condominium building over the weekend, police announced on Tuesday.

Guadalupe Mezo-Temich and Gibram Chaga-Temich, both of Arlington Heights, and Francisco Rueda-Oliveras of Mount Prospect, were charged with aggravated battery and are being held on $400,000 bond following the incident, which took place on Sunday, police said.

Police said that they learned the attack on the man took place at 3 a.m. after the victim and the three suspects became involved in an argument, police said on Tuesday. Police said when the argument escalated, the three men charged in the incident began to attack the victim with a baseball bat and then kept attacking them by punching and kicking him.

The man was driven to the hospital by family members and police began to investigate the incident after being called to the hospital for a report of a severe beating.

The victim remains hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage, a collapsed lung, fractured vertebrae, and multiple fractures, police said.

The three men were arrested on Monday and appeared in court on Tuesday when they were arraigned.
