6 Arlington Heights Spots Fined For Serving Alcohol To Minors

The fines issued Monday, July 15 stem from a recent annual police department sting at local businesses, the news report said.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — An recent annual undercover police department sting left several Arlington Heights businesses with fines Monday totaling more than $5,000 combined for reportedly serving alcohol to minors, according to the Daily Herald. Arlington Heights Mayor Tom Hayes also serves as the local liquor control commissioner, and imposed most of the fines among the six license holders, the Daily Herald reported.

There were no recorded liquor license violations in Arlington Heights last year. The six license holders are among 13 violations in 2019, Robin Ward, the village's in-house counsel told the news source. The six include Mago Grill & Cantina, 115 W. Campbell Street, La Tasca Tapas, 25 W. Davis Street, Peggy Kinnane's Irish Restaurant & Pub, 8 N. Vail Avenue, Ttowa Restaurant, 161 W. Wing Street, San Korean Cuisine, 234 East Golf Road, and Golf Liquors, 606 E. Golf Road.
