$65M Logistics Campus Moves Forward In Schaumburg

The four-building development will be the headquarters for Experior Global & Transport, a trucking firm originally founded in Schaumburg.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A company that was created in Schaumburg, but relocated 25 years ago, is heading back. Recently, Experior Global & Transport, a trucking firm, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its future new $65 million headquarters and logistics camp.

Currently based in Alsip, representatives from Experior, along with realtors NAI Hiffman, officials from the Village of Schaumburg, and other key stakeholders grabbed shovels to break ground at 1001 W. Irving Park Road.

"From Experior’s inception through its expansion, our company has provided excellent service in the transportation and supply chain industry by optimizing efficiency and reducing costs," said Tom Dulian, chief executive officer of Experior, in a news release. "Our new campus will help us serve our clients better while giving us the flexibility to offer space to other firms. This location offers excellent access to local markets, downtown Chicago and points beyond."

Experior was founded in 1998 at 800 Morse Ave. in Schaumburg, before moving to Alsip.

Last year, Daily Herald reports Experior bought the 55 acres from the Village for $7.5 million. Completion on the project is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2024. The new campus will include a 24-hour surveillance system for the shared parking lot, intended to accommodate parking for up to 800 trucks and trailers, according to the news release. The campus also will include a fully equipped gas station and convenience store and a truck sales and repair shop.

The company said aspeculative 48,000-square-foot warehouse will be available for lease by third-party logistics users will be equipped with advanced inventory management systems.

"This development would not have been possible without the generous support of Schaumburg Mayor Tom Dailly, Schaumburg trustees and village staff," Dulian said. "We also are grateful to our partners Charles Smith at Arete Design Studio and David Haigh at NAI Hiffman for their support throughout the approval and land acquisition process."

According to the news release, the new headquarters will be Experior's sixth location in the United States, with two in Illinois, three in New Jersey and one in Texas.
