Arlington Heights Crime Alert: Man Found Slumped Over in Vehicle
The man was discovered at S. New Wilke and W. Kirchoff Rd and was ultimately charged with possession and driving under the influence of drugs.

Arlington Heights Police responded to a subject slumped over the wheel of a vehicle at S. New Wilke Rd. and W. Kirchoff Rd. on August 7 at 11:22 p.m.
Michael J. Dazzo, 38, of the 1300 block of Longford, Elgin, was in a white Ford SUV stopped at the intersection when he appeared to be asleep, according to police.
When Dazzo awoke, he was sweating profusely and disoriented. Police officers asked him to exit the vehicle, and when he did so, he fell to the ground.

Police observed a small cellophane bag, which contained a white, powdery substance on the driver’s seat. After a search, six more bags were discovered. Dazzo did not require medical assistance and was taken into custody.
Dazzo was charged with possession of Methamphetamine and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Â A court date is set for September 6.
