Arlington Heights Park District Names New Director Of Marketing

Amy Seklecki will serve as Director of Marketing & Community Engagement.

The Arlington Heights Park District (AHPD) announces Amy Seklecki as its new Director of Marketing & Community Engagement. In this role, Seklecki will be responsible for the overall marketing and communication functions of the Park District, including the development and management of marketing plans and strategies, sponsorships and partnerships, District-wide communications and public relations activities.

“I’m incredibly excited and grateful to serve the community as the Director of Marketing & Community Engagement,” said Seklecki. “The Arlington Heights Park District is one of the largest and best park districts in Illinois, and it’s truly a dream to grow professionally and personally here.”

Seklecki comes to AHPD from the Village of Barrington where she served as the Events & Marketing Manager. Prior to her role with Barrington, she served as the Superintendent of Marketing & Special Events and Marketing & Special Events Coordinator for the Wheaton Park District. Seklecki has a Bachelor of Arts from Aurora University in Communications and earlier this year became a Certified Park and Recreation Professional.

“Amy was selected from a pool of excellent, highly qualified candidates,” said Arlington Heights Park District Executive Director Carrie Fullerton. “We’re excited about the marketing and communications skills she brings to our leadership team. The Park District positively impacts the quality of life for our residents on a daily basis, and Amy’s expertise makes her the perfect professional to keep our community informed on the latest and greatest happenings at the AHPD.”

Her professional accomplishments include being one of the youngest superintendents in Wheaton Park District history, creating and executing a new event resulting in over 2,000 attendees in its first year for the Village of Barrington and orchestrating the opening of Wheaton Park District’s Memorial Park Bandshell.

“One of the things that drew me to the Arlington Heights Park District is their commitment to creating memorable moments. I really look forward to playing a part in those moments,” stated Seklecki.
