Arlington Heights Portillo's Begins Delivery Service

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Have a craving for a Portillo's hot dog but don't feel like braving the cold temperatures to pick it up from the Arlington Park location at 806 W. Dundee Road? Now you have another option (and it doesn't involve calling a friend or relative and begging him or her to do it for you). Starting Tuesday, the restaurant chain known for its hot dogs and chocolate cake will now offer delivery service at all of its Chicago-area locations.

Portillo's has partnered with Door Dash, which provides on-demand restaurant delivery, to create it's new service. Customers can place orders through Portillo's and Door Dash's websites or through their apps. Delivery hours for the Tinley location will be from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village Portillo's also will offer delivery. Hours for the Schaumburg location, 611 E. Golf Road, are 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Delivery hours for the Elk Grove Village restaurant, 1500 Busse Hwy., are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Elk Grove Village location is closed Sundays.

"It was important that we partner with a company that could support Portillo’s high-volume restaurants, especially through our lunch and dinner service," Portillo's CEO Keith Kinsey said in a statement announcing the delivery service Tuesday." DoorDash gives us flexibility and reliability to give our customers the convenience they want and the quality they have come to expect from Portillo’s."

Delivery will be available at 49 Portillo’s across the country, including locations around Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. Delivery service will not be available at the Portillo's restaurants in Normal and Rockford.
