Arlington Heights Resident Named To Barron's Top Financial Advisor List

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Michael Covey, a Merrill Lynch private wealth advisor, was recently named to the 2025 Barron’s "Top 1,200 Financial Advisors" list. The Arlington Heights resident has more than 25 years of experience addressing the needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients.

According to Barron's, Covey in his role as managing director at Merrill Private Wealth Management, oversees a team of 12 employees with $9.1 billion in assets. He has been at his current firm for eight years.

Covey is also involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations in the greater Chicago area. He served as the 125th president of the Union League Club of Chicago and has been a trustee of the Union League Club's Boys and Girls Clubs.

Covey and his wife, Jennifer, have two adult children. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, boating, cooking, and wine collecting.

Merrill holds the No. 1 position for the second straight year with 276 total advisors recognized on the published list, including 190 FAs and 86 PWAs. Merrill also had 10 advisors named No. 1 in State.
