Barbecues To Support IL Troops Planned For Arlington Heights, Wheeling
Organizers say 100 percent of proceeds will be donated to the USO Illinois to support the troops, veterans and their families.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Two family-friendly barbecues are planned this weekend to support the USO Illinois. The events are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Arlington Heights Ford/Arlington Heights Buick GMC, 801/777 W. Dundee Road, Arlington Heights; and Tasca Chevy Wheeling, 700 Dundee Road, Wheeling.
In addition to the barbecue, there will be a dunk tank, games and prizes, raffles, music, and food and drink.
Greg Padovani, chairman of the Veterans Memorial Committee of Arlington Heights, tells Patch monetary donations are accepted as well as any items that could be raffled off or used in a silent auction (gift cards, gift baskets, useful products, etc.).
