Bubbakoo’s Burritos Opens First Illinois Location

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — If you're looking for a new spot to try a burrito, look no further than 115 W. Rand Road. Bubbakoo’s Burritos, a build-your-own-burrito concept, opened its first Illinois location earlier this week in Arlington Heights. It is the 64th location overall.

Bubbakoos opened Saturday and will be hiring 10-15 employees, according to a news release from the company.

“As a new store in this area, we’re so excited to introduce this brand to Illinois. Our team is ready to go and looking forward to getting to know the community,” said Devan Patel, franchisee owner of the Arlington Heights location.

The popular chain was founded in 2008 by industry veterans Bill Hart and Paul Altero. Both Hart and Altero had worked together previously and decided to combine their ideas to build a united dream. Their shared vision focused on the complete customization of entrees with fresh ingredients and a strong concentration on customer service. Bubbakoo’s Burritos has innovated a menu where customers can pick and choose what they want and create something different every time they visit.

While the Bubbakoo’s brand is known for their customizable menu, they also pride themselves on their involvement in the communities surrounding their store locations. In November 2019, they launched their Read it to Eat it Program where they work with local schools to help incentivize reading for students. The individual store locations also host many fundraisers for organizations in their areas to help raise money.

Currently, Bubbakoo’s has 64 locations across 10 different states. Their team has over 100 locations in the pipeline throughout the United States and plans to continue to expand.
