Chainsaws, Other Tools Stolen From Rolling Green Country Club

PLUS: $300 Rayban sunglasses taken from an unlocked vehicle.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information is from the Arlington Heights Police Department unless otherwise noted. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

House Damage

Police received a report of a damaged storm door window between 6 and 8 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 300 block of South Prindle Avenue. Repair costs to the door aren't known.

Vehicle Break-In

A $300 pair of Rayban sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked 2014 brown Honda CR-V between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and 11:20 a.m. Oct. 8 in the 900 block of East Golf Road.

Package Theft

An unidentified offender stole a package at around 9:50 p.m. Oct. 5 from a resident's porch in the 400 block of South Carlyle Place. The cost of the package's contents isn't known.

Theft

A woman's wallet was stolen from her purse, which was left unattended between 4 p.m. Oct. 7 and 6:46 a.m. Oct 8 in the 500 block of North Dunton Avenue. The wallet was worth $75, and it had her driver's license and library card in it.

Burglary

Stihl tools were stolen from a locked storage shed at the Rolling Green Country Club, between 5 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6 a.m. Oct. 6. The tools taken included three chainsaws, seven weed whackers, a hedge trimmer, an edger and two backpack blowers. The cost of the tools is not known.
