Comments That Spur Community Conversations

I read a thoughtful comment Sunday on the article Lake Arlington Interim Safety Changes Identified by Park District from local resident, Rob Greenberg. 

Mr. Greenberg eloquently pointed out that though it was a tragedy that brought it about, the steps being taken to increase safety at Lake Arlington are positive, and needed. 

He also offered solid suggestions on how to communicate the safety changes to Lake Arlington users in his comments. 

This topic is an excellent example of how blogs on Arlington Heights Patch can be vehicles to spur a conversation in the community, while promoting changes that benefit the village as a whole. Our blogs are an avenue to get ideas out to neighbors you may not know, and to actively engage others to collectively work toward solutions. 

I invite you to join Arlington Heights Patch as one of our valued bloggers if there is something you have to say. It might not be as serious as the Lake Arlington safety issue, and that's okay. There are many moving parts to any community, and whatever it is in this community that is important to you, is worth talking about.
