COVID-19 Testing In Arlington Heights Area: Where To Find A Test
With cases on the rise amid the omicron wave, here's where to get tested for COVID-19 in the Arlington Heights area.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — With holiday gatherings and the emerging omicron surge of coronavirus combining to send demand for tests skyrocketing past supplies, an increasing number of North Shore residents have been seeking COVID-19 testing but have found it unavailable or difficult to obtain.
COVID-19 test positivity in suburban Cook County rose to 7.8 percent, as of Monday, according to the Cook County Department of Public Health.
There were nearly 240,000 tests performed in the county during the week ending Dec. 18, according to the most recent data available from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In Arlington Heights, there were 342 new cases reported last week, with a 119 percent increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases over the past 14 days. The municipality's weekly case rate is 440 per 100,000 people — lower than the suburban Cook County average of 548.
According to the Cook County Department of Public Health, 89 percent of municipality residents have received at least one vaccine dose, and 70.7 percent are fully vaccinated. Since the start of the pandemic, 150 Arlington Heights residents have died of COVID-19 — with the most recent death on Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
