Dozen Vehicles Vandalized With Red Spray Paint

PLUS: $1,000 worth of clothing was stolen during an apartment break-in, according to Arlington Heights police.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information is from the Arlington Heights Police Department unless otherwise noted. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Vehicle Vandalism

Red spray paint was used to damage more than a dozen vehicles between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and 5:45 a.m. Sept. 30 in the 200 block of North Kaspar Avenue. Repair costs are unknown.

Red paint also was used to damage a 2007 silver Honda SUV sometime between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and 12:40 a.m. Sept. 30 in the 100 block of South Walnut Avenue, less than a half mile from the other paint incident. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.

Vehicle Break-In

Change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 10 p.m. Sept. 30 and 4 a.m. Oct. 1 in the 1100 block of South Haddow Avenue.

Vehicle Break-In

Nothing was taken during a break-in of an unlocked 2008 gray Honda Pilot in the 0-100 block of East Magnolia Street. The break-in happened between 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and 8 a.m. Oct. 1.

Vehicle Break-In

A gym bag with $200 Beats headphones, $150 Nike shoes and $100 worth of clothing were stolen from a locked black, 2016 Jeep Patriot between 6:30 and 11:30 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 500 block of East Algonquin Road. The cost to repair the damage to the Jeep is unknown.

Vehicle Break-In

A debit card and check book were taken from an unlocked 2007 gray Hyundai Elantra between 3 p.m. Sept. 30 and 8 a.m. Oct. 1 in the 100 block of South Highland Avenue.

Bike Theft

A black and gray Trek FX bicycle was stolen between 5:45 and 8 p.m. Sept. 30 in the 200 block of East Golf Road. The bike is worth $400.

Apartment Break-In

Clothing worth $1,000 was taken during an apartment break-in between 1 p.m. Oct. 2 and 1:15 a.m. Oct. 3 in the 21700 block of South Goebbert Road.
