DUI, Child Endangerment, Weapons Charges: Arlington Heights PD Blotter
Arlington Heights Police made several arrests and handled a number of complaints, including the theft of $490 in alcohol from Walgreens.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department made a series of arrests and handled a number of criminal complaints over the past week.
Local residents are reminded that criminal charges do not equate to a guilty finding and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Thomas E. Herling, 38, was arrested on an in-state warrant for violation of a bail bond at 9:20 p.m. on June 5. Bond was set at $3,000.
Juan C. Jacobo, 19, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. on June 7 and charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana by a passenger in a motor vehicle, driving without insurance, and driving with a suspended or revoked license as well as possession of alcohol by a minor. Bond was set at $3,000.

Jenny Lim-Spiggos, 49, was arrested at 10:06 p.m. on June 6 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance. Bond was set at $1,000.
Alshamntus R. Lofton, 45, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on June 2 and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felony and possession of a concealed weapon with an expired concealed carry license. Bond was set at $20,000.
Jorgelys J. Ramos-Mejias, 23, was arrested at 9:51 p.m. on June 2 and charged with two counts of endangering the life or health of a child. Bond was set at $100.
INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at the Walgreens at 235 E. Palatine Rd. reported that two women stole approximately $490 in alcohol from the story at 7:07 p.m. on May 29.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
An employee of Carlson Laboratories at 15 W. College Dr. reported that sometime between May 28 and May 30, unknown persons threw rocks at his business and damaged the covers to a fire department connection located on the building as well as to a glass block located on the building. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
A resident in the 1500 block of N. Kennicott Dr. reported that on June 3, an unknown person or persons damaged his window sill planter and his front storm door. The cost to repair the damage is unknown.
An employee of the American Legion at 121 N. Douglas Ave. reported that on June 3, an unknown person burned the lawn in various spots.
VANDALISM
Sometime between May 26 and May 30, a resident said that someone entered a property at 3 N. Hickory Ave. and spray-painted inappropriate images on the floor of an underground garage.
STOLEN VEHICLE
Two motorcycles were reported stolen in the 400 block of W. Rand on May 30.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS
A customer at Motel 6 in the 400 block of W. Algonquin Rd. reported that two people stole the catalytic converter of a 2018 Nissan that was parked in the lot on June 1. The person said the two offenders then left in a white sedan.
THEFT
A person said that an unknown person stole credit cards out of his wallet which were in a locker at the L.A. Fitness at 345 W. Palatine on June 1.
A person reported that an unknown person stole his unlocked bicycle from outside the Jewel at 122 M. Vail Ave. on June 2. The bicycle was described as a Specialized Rock Hopper and is valued at $657.
A person at the Walgreens at 235 E. Palatine Rd. reported that an unknown person unlocked her REI Co-Op mountain bike valued at $600 and stole the bicycle on May 30.
BURGLARY
An employee at a business located at 244 E. Golf Rd. reported that on June 3, said that an unknown person or persons broke into the business and stole several items. The value of the items taken is unknown.
