End of Summer Activites and Celebrations, Back to School Info and More

The end of summer celebration, activities for teens before school starts, back-to-school, registration information and more.

The end of summer celebration, Mane Event/Taste of Arlington Heights will be held on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10. The bookend events both occur on Vail and Campbell in Downtown, and they combine to make one of the biggest weekend celebrations of the summer.

And also before the summer ends, teens ages 12–18 are invited to enter a film in the 7th Annual Teen Film Fest sponsored by Arlington Heights Memorial Library, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre and Arlington Heights Arts Commission. The deadline to enter is Friday, August 9-click here to learn more.
