ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Thanksgiving is nearly here and people in Arlington Heights are busy planning the perfect menu for this year’s holiday dinner.

In the rush to make a complete holiday meal for the entire family, it’s quite possible we’ll forget an item or two on our grocery lists. Fortunately, plenty of grocery stores in Arlington Heights will be open Thanksgiving Day to pick up the forgotten rolls or the missing can of cranberry sauce.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with those that won’t. As always, Patch encourages you to call ahead to your local store to confirm hours at that location.

CVS: All 24-hour CVS Pharmacy locations will remain open with regular hours on Thanksgiving. Non-24-hour CVS Pharmacy locations will close at 5 p.m. Some locations may have reduced pharmacy hours or may be closed for the holiday. The company recommends calling ahead to confirm store hours.

Fresh Thyme: Locations open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

211 West Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect

Jewel-Osco: Stores will be open on Thanksgiving from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • 1860 S. Arlington Heights Rd.
  • 440 E. Rand Rd.
  • 122 N. Vail Ave.

Mariano's: Stores will open at their usual time and close at 5 p.m. Pharmacies are closed.

802 E. Northwest Highway

Meijer: Most store locations are open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

1301 Meijer Drive, Rolling Meadows

Value Fresh Market (7 a.m.- 5 p.m.)

450 E. Golf Rd.

Walgreens: Most Walgreens stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Walgreens stores and pharmacies that operate 24 hours will be open, with other select pharmacies open with modified hours. Customers are encouraged to check their local store hours before heading out.
