No one was hurt in the robbery Wednesday night at a jewelry store near Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Hammer-weilding thieves stole diamonds from the display case of a jewelry store near Woodfield Mall during a smash-and-grab robbery Wednesday night while the business was still open, according to the Daily Herald. No one was hurt during the heist at Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, and the store hasn't determined the amount and value of the diamonds that were stolen, the report added.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Jared, 1700 Woodfield Road, when three men with hammers walked into the store, the report stated. The men used the hammers to break a display case and then grabbed as many of the loose diamonds in it before fleeing, the report added.

Ten people — two customers and eight staffers — were in the store when the robbery happened, but the thieves didn't talk to anyone during the incident. Besides the hammers, the men didn't brandish any weapons during the incident, the report added.
