Home Burglarized While Owners On Vacation, More Crime: AH Police
A residential burglary took place while the homeowners were on vacation, according to Arlington Heights police.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The Arlington Heights Police Department responded to the following crime reports during the last week of December 2019:
Theft
Arlington Heights police reported an unknown person or persons stole two packages Monday belonging to someone at The Residences apartment complex in the 2300 block of S. Goebbert Road. The two packages were reported stolen at 5:30 p.m. from a public package delivery area in the complex, according to police. The contents of the packages are valued at $70.

Criminal damage to property
Arlington Heights police reported an unknown person or persons damaged a restroom at Heritage Park in the 500 block of W. Victoria Lane Monday, by writing obscene language on the wall with a permanent marker. The damage was reported at 9 a.m., and the cost to repair it isn't known at this time, according to police.

Residential burglary
Someone or more than one person forced their way through the front door of a home in the 2700 block of N. Greenwood Avenue Friday, according to police. The report came at 5:31 p.m., however the homeowners were out of state, on vacation at the time. Police said a total inventory of possible items taken will be done when homeowner’s return.
