Infant Fondled After Suspect Did Coke With Kid's Mom: Prosecutors
The 30-year-old Arlington Heights man is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and is related to the victim.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A 30-year-old truck driver is accused of fondling a 2-month-old infant after prosecutors say he and the child's mother had been drinking and doing cocaine, according to the Chicago Tribune. Joe Ybarra, of the 2200 block of West Nichols Road, was charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and was ordered held without bail Saturday. He could be sentenced between six and 180 years in prison if convicted of the Class X felony.
The incident happened Oct. 19 at Ybarra's home. According to prosecutors Saturday, Ybarra and the victim's mother had been drinking and allegedly using cocaine before entering the bedroom where the woman's infant daughter and her two other children were sleeping, the Tribune reports. All three children are related to Ybarra, the report added.
Prosecutors said that once he was in the room, Ybarra allegedly sexually assaulted the infant on the bed, the report stated. One of the children told him to stop touching the victim, and Ybarra allegedly slapped the child and told him to be quiet, the report added.
