Whatever camp you belong to, the one part about Labor Day everyone can agree on is that it's a federal holiday. And even if you don't have the day off, the holiday can still have an effect on your week. Here's a look at how Labor Day will impact institutions and services around Arlington Heights:

Schools: No classes for District 15, District 25, District 59, District 211 and District 214 schools.

Arlington Heights Village Government: The Village Hall will be closed, and state and federal government offices will be closed, too.

Arlington Heights Memorial Library: The library will be closed.

Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.

Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.

Trash Pickup: Garbage collection service will be delayed until the next day because of the holiday.

CTA and Metra: Trains and buses for the transportation agencies will be running on Sunday/holiday schedules.
