Man In Black Car Approached Girl On Way To School: Cops
The girl was walking to Ivy Hill Elementary School when the encounter happened Tuesday, Arlington Heights police say.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Police are investigating a suspicious person incident Wednesday morning involving an Arlington Heights elementary school student. No one was hurt in the incident, according to Arlington Heights police.
The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, on Valley Lane, near Burke Drive, police said. A girl was walking to Ivy Hill Elementary School when a man in a black car approached her.
The man in the car allegedly asked the girl if she wanted food and told her to get in the car, according to police. The girl refused, and the man drove off eastbound on Valley Lane.

Police said the man was wearing a baseball hat and black sweatshirt at the time of the encounter.
