ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Across the United States, people will be celebrating Memorial Day on Monday, a national holiday to honor those who died in active military service.
Although it's a national holiday, most retail businesses around the village will be open. But it's always idea to call ahead and check.

Schools: No classes for District 15, District 25, District 59, District 211 and District 214 schools.
Arlington Heights Village Government: The Village Hall will be closed, and state and federal government offices will be closed, too.
Arlington Heights Memorial Library: The library will be closed.
Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.
Trash Pickup: Garbage collection service will be delayed until the next day because of the holiday.
