National Night Out: AH Police Showcase, Info on New Lake Arlington Bike Path Rules
A number of activities, all with an emphasis on safety, are planned for Tuesday, August 6 at North School Park.

National Night Out, an event that showcases Police services, is planned for Tuesday, August 6, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. in North School Park, 410 N. Arlington Heights Road. The National Association of Town Watch and Target Stores sponsor this event nationally.
The Arlington Heights Police Department has received national recognition every year since 2005. Our event has moved up in ranking each year and was ranked 12th nationally, which is the highest in Illinois for our population category.
Plans are for this year's event to be bigger and better. Check out the various events planned.
Information provided by the Village of Arlington Heights.Â
Those in attendance will also have access to an informational campaign created by the Arlington Heights Park District - the Share the Path Interim Action Plan, in an effort to educate users of the Lake Arlington pathway on new rules and regulations there.Â
Safety changes came about resulting from a fatal accident that occurred between an elderly Arlington Heights woman walking the path who was hit from behind by a young person on a bicycle. The incident occurred on July 18, 2013.Â
