New Principal For South Middle School

James Morrison of Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 will take over the principal's role July 1.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Veteran educator and professor James Morrison of the Park Ridge-Niles School District 64 has been hired as South Middle School's new principal. Morrison will start his new position July 1.

He replaces Piper Boston, who is leaving to lead Windsor Elementary School next year, the Chicago Tribune reported. Boston has been with South Middle for five years.

Morrison is the principal of Emerson Middle School in Niles. He has served as principal of Lincoln Junior High School in Skokie, as an assistant principal at Gemini Junior High School in East Maine School District 63, and as a math- and science-teacher at Pennoyer School District 79 in Norridge, the Tribune reported. He also teaches in the principal-preparation program at North Park University in Chicago.

Morrison lives in Des Plaines with his wife and three children.
