Petco Coming To Former PetSmart Location
PetSmart left its location in the Annex Shopping Center in January of 2012. Petco is expected to move into a portion of the location this fall.
Pet owners in and around Arlington Heights may be happy to know that Petco will be taking over the former PatSmart location at 49 W. Rand Road, which closed its doors in January of 2012.
Charles Perkins, director of planning and community development for the Village of Arlington Heights said construction on a new entry facade is underway and the new retailer will move into a portion of the former PetSmart location in the Annex Shopping Center.
Perkins added that the property owner is in talks to bring in another retail store in the remainder of the space.
Petco is expected to open this fall.
