Police Department Citizens Academy Applications Open In Arlington
Arlington Heights Police Department Citizens Academy applications are open for those who want to get a feel for police life.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Have you wondered what it's like in the day of a life in police officer? The Arlington Heights Police Department Citizens Academy may be for you. Applications are now open for the 11-week program that demonstrates what officers in the department do.
Participants will get hands-on experience in forensics, traffic stops, K-9 demos and other issues. Those who complete the program can opt to ride along with an on-duty officer. They will also get an early look at the village's new police department. Applications are open to people 21 and over.
