'Gun' At Schaumburg Complex Was Maintenance Equipment: Cops
UPDATED: A SWAT team was called in Tuesday after police received a report of a suspicious man with a gun at the office building.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A Schaumburg office building was on lockdown Tuesday while police searched for a possible gunman. A SWAT team was at the complex at 200 N. Martingale Road, according to online reports from people claiming to be at the scene. But police told WBBM Newsradio that the report of someone with a firearm was "mistaken."
Police received a call just before 11 a.m. Tuesday that a suspicious man with a gun was at the office complex, CBS 2 Chicago reports. But no shots had been fired as of 11:30 a.m., the report added.
Schaumburg Police Sgt. Christy Lindhurst told the Chicago Sun-Times that the erroneous report occurred because a piece of equipment used by maintenance workers at the complex resembled a gun.
