Primary Election 2022: Early Voting Underway In Arlington Heights

The Illinois Primary Election is scheduled for June 28.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Early voting at Village Hall got underway Monday in Arlington Heights. The building at 33 S. Arlington Heights Road will hold in-person early voting through June 27, with the Gubernatorial Primary Election set for Tuesday, June 28, according to the Village of Arlington Heights.

Online registration ended on Sunday in Cook County.

Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Early voters can vote at the Buechner Room during the following times:

  • First week (June 13-19) — 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
  • Second week (June 20-27) — 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 27.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS

Voters may apply for an absentee ballot online at www.cookcountyclerk.com/elections, go to Vote by Mail under the Elections tab. The voter submits their form to Cook County. Ballots are then mailed to the voter.

WILL YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT BE COUNTED?

Absentee ballots must be postmarked on/before Election Day in order to be counted. Three Election judges review the signature on each ballot to ensure their authenticity, according to the Village. The results of any election are not certified until the absentee ballots received within two weeks of the election date are counted.

SAME DAY – REGISTRATION & VOTING

If a resident missed the last day to register to vote, they are eligible to register and vote at Village Hall during Early Voting. Call 312-603-1123 or check the Cook County Clerk’s website at www.cookcountyclerk.com with any questions.
