Prospect Marching Band Band Gears Up for Upcoming Performances
Check here for upcoming performances by the Prospect Marching Band this school year.

Approximately 150 students, including 28 color guards, are gearing up for the 2013 Prospect marching band program. After numerous rehearsals during summer band camp and June and August sessions, the Prospect Marching Knights (PMK) are preparing for a rigorous “marching season.” Their 2013 show, "The Hero Within", featuring Ludwig Van Beethoven music, includes selections from Beethoven's Fifth, Seventh, and Ninth Symphonies. The PMK will perform at many area and regional competitions, parades, and football games, including:
Sept. 14: Lake Park Lancer Joust - Lake Park High School, Roselle, IL
Sept. 28: Northern Illinois, DeKalb

Oct. 5: Knight of Champions (hosted by the Prospect Marching Knights) - Mt. Prospect, IL
The Oct. 5 Knight of Champions competition is hosted by the PHS Marching Knights and open to Class A, AA, and AAA bands. Nearly 20 area marching bands are expected to compete. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place in each class, as well as Outstanding Visual, Outstanding Music, Outstanding Percussion, Outstanding Auxiliary, and Outstanding General Effect. The Prospect Marching Knights will give an exhibition performance, but will not compete in the event.

Oct. 12: State of Illinois Invitational High School Marching Band Championship - Illinois State University, Bloomington, IL
Oct. 18-20: Bands of America Super Regional - St. Louis, MO
The PMK also performs at the Prospect High School varsity football home games, which are September 6, 20 (homecoming), and October 11, and 25.
