Snapchat Threats Against Wheeling High School Not Credible: Cops
A 16-year-old sophomore is accused of posting the messages, and charges against the boy are likely, according to Wheeling police.

WHEELING, IL — Charges could be filed against a Wheeling High School sophomore after the student allegedly made threats against the school on social media Monday night, the Daily Herald reports. Wheeling police investigated the threats, and it was determined they didn't present a danger to students and staff, the report added.
Although investigators didn't find the threats credible, an increased police presence was at the school Tuesday as a precaution, the report stated. Previously planned testing will continue, and students will be released at 1:35 p.m. as scheduled, the report added.
Police and Township High School District 214 officials were tipped Monday night to threats made by a 16-year-old boy on Snapchat, the report stated. Investigators located the boy, but charges have not been filed stemming from the incident, the report added.

Wheeling parents were told about the posts in an email from Principal Jerry Cook, according to the Herald.
