4 Use Stolen Truck To Pull ATM Down Road: Police
According to the news report, Arlington Heights police said the suspects are four males who ran away once police got to the scene.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Authorities are continuing to look for four suspects accused of trying to steal an ATM from outside a bank in Arlington Heights on Friday night. The four men are accused of securing a chain to the back of a white pick-up truck and then attaching it to the ATM outside Bank of America, 850 W. Algonquin Road in Arlington Heights, before ripping the machine from its foundation and dragging it about 200 feet down the road.
Authorities received an alert from bank security and rushed to the scene at about 9:10 p.m. When they arrived, they found the truck and the ATM but no suspects. The four men allegedly fled on foot, Arlington Heights Commander Joe Pinnello told Patch, and no money was taken from the machine.
The pick-up truck was reported stolen out of the western suburbs, he said.

Police say all four suspects had an unknown race and build.
The first man was wearing a black jacket, a green hooded sweatshirt and green pants, the second suspect was wearing a black jacket, blacked hooded sweatshirt, grey jeans and black shoes and a third man was wearing a grey jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, white shirt and black pants. A fourth person remained inside the vehicle during the attempted ATM theft and authorities do not have a descripti0n available of his clothing, Pinnello said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations in Chicago has taken over the investigation, police said.
