Thanksgiving 2017: What's Open, Closed In Arlington Heights
Find out how the holiday will affect village agencies, institutions and services.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — In simpler times, the Thanksgiving holiday meant government offices and the majority of businesses around town would be closed Thursday, and retailers — as well as customers — would be ready to begin the holiday shopping Friday. But with online shopping, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and everything in between, it's hard to know what's open and what's closed for Thanksgiving.
This year, the holiday falls on Nov. 23, and Patch takes a look at which institutions and services will be closed Thursday, Friday and other days affected by Thanksgiving this year:
Village Government: Village Hall and village offices will be closed Thursday, as well as Friday. Federal, state and county offices also will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Movie Theaters: "Coco," "Roman J. Israel, Esq." and "3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" are three movies opening Wednesday. Theaters haven't set their showtimes yet for Thursday, but these venues will be screening films throughout Thanksgiving:
