17th Annual Aurora Health Festival Days Away

Screenings, including for blood chemistry, glucose and body mass index, will be part of the event's offerings.

AURORA, IL — The 17th annual Aurora Health Festival is coming up Saturday, and a variety of free services and educational materials will be available to visitors.

Hosted by Compañeros en Salud, the festival is set for 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave. Admission and parking are both free, and a breakfast, health screenings, raffles and exhibits will all be part of the event's offerings.

Various screenings will be offered throughout the event's runtime, including blood chemistry, glucose, body mass index, HIV, hepatitis C, and blood pressure. Adults and children will also be able to get their COVID-19 vaccine.

Face masks will be required for health screenings, organizers said.

While screenings will take place all four hours, exhibitors will provide educational materials and refreshments and raffles will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
