Aurora Activates Overnight Warming Center For The Weekend
Wind chills below zero are expected Thursday night into Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
AURORA, IL — The temporary overnight warming center in Aurora will open for the weekend, officials said.
Located at the Financial Empowerment Center, 712 S. River St., the warming center will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Thursday through Monday morning.
Visitors should enter through the main door and will then be buzzed in through security.

A line of showers will bring the highest wind gusts around 50 mph between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. After the line of showers passes, temperatures will fall into the 30s.
Wind chills below zero are also expected Thursday night into Friday, Patch reported.
