Aurora Intersection Remains Closed While ComEd Restores Service Following Crash: APD

AURORA, IL — The intersection of Galena Boulevard and Union Street in Aurora will be closed for between two to three more hours Tuesday while service is restored following a crash, police said.

A crash involving a utility pole happened at about 11:20 a.m. near the intersection, leading to traffic delays while crews cleaned up debris and worked to restore service, according to an alert from Aurora police.

ComEd crews arrived on the scene as of 12:50 p.m.

Until repairs are completed, police are encouraging drivers to seek alternate routes.
