Aurora Man Killed Monday In Head-On Motorcycle-SUV Crash

A 20-year-old Aurora man driving the motorcycle was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center, where he died Monday, police said.

AURORA, IL — A 20-year-old Aurora man died Monday after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV on the city’s Near East Side, according to police.

Police and paramedics were called around 5:15 p.m. Monday to the 700 block of Liberty Street after a head-on crash between a motorcycle and an SUV, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

A 20-year-old Aurora man who was driving the motorcycle was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center where he died, police said. Police did not identify the man.

Investigators from the Aurora Police Department determined the man was driving his Suzuki motorcycle west on Liberty “at a high rate of speed” when he crashed head-on into a Chevy Tahoe driving east, police said.
