Body Of Missing Aurora MMA Fighter Found Near Hotel: Police
Trevon Lawson, who hadn't been seen since mid-April, was found dead near a Roselle Road hotel on Monday night. He was 26.

AURORA, IL — Trevon Lawson, the MMA champion from Aurora who had been missing for nearly two weeks, was found dead on Monday night, police said.
Lawson’s body was found around 7:15 p.m. near a hotel in the 1500 block of North Roselle Road. A spokesman for Lawson's family told Patch on Tuesday that Lawson's Nissan Altima was found first and that the fighter was found inside the vehicle.
The spokesman said that Lawson's cause of death is speculative at this point, and said that he and the family are working with police to determine a cause of death.

Lawson, 26, was reported missing on Monday and a news release said that his family had not seen the 155-pound fighter since April 16. The release said Lawson did not report to work on April 17.
In the news release, his family said Lawson had been diagnosed with depression in the past but was dedicated to his sport, his family and friends.
