Crash Blocks I-88 For 2 Hours, Seriously Injures 1: ISP
State and local police said the crash occurred at around 6 p.m. Friday and will block all I-88 traffic at Route 59 for at least 2 hours.

AURORA, IL — A crash involving two vehicles on westbound Interstate 88 will be blocking the roadway for at least two hours, Aurora police told Patch Friday evening.
The crash occurred at around 5:50 p.m. Friday near Eola Road, state police said. Westbound lanes were completely stopped at Route 59, according to drivers in the area.
Initial reports from state police indicate one person was was ejected from a vehicle and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Aurora police were assisting state troopers at the scene.

Officials from the Illinois Department of Transportation told Patch they were working to reroute traffic stuck behind the crash as of 7 p.m.
